Distinguished Guests, Esteemed Colleagues, and Fellow Participants,
I am truly honored to welcome you all to the International Conference organized by the Association of Clinical Endocrinologist and Diabetologist of Bangladesh (ACEDB). I extend my heartfelt gratitude to the speakers, and participants who have contributed their time, knowledge, and passion to make this event a reality. Members of the organizing committee have shown remarkable dedication and hard work in organizing the event. Moreover, all general and life members of ACEDB provided their earnest cooperation. My sincere thanks to all of them.
As an organization of endocrinologists, our primary goal is to enhance the management of the growing population affected by conditions such as diabetes, thyroid disorders, and other endocrine-related issues. Through our persistent efforts, we have witnessed significant progress over the past few years. Our longstanding aspiration of establishing a comprehensive endocrine institute has now become part of the Bangabandhu Health City’s development plan. We have also successfully advocated for the creation of new positions for young endocrinologists and endocrine faculty members in both government and non-government medical colleges. The awareness programs organized by ACEDB have garnered recognition and support from the country’s health authorities. Our monthly academic sessions have proven to be instrumental in engaging young endocrinologists, providing them with opportunities to exchange ideas and benefit from the expertise of established professionals in the field. To promote endocrine research within the country, ACEDB is actively involved in publishing a scientific journal titled ‘Journal of Association of Clinical Endocrinologist and Diabetologist of Bangladesh.’ This journal serves as a platform for showcasing important research in the field of endocrinology.
It is a matter of great pride for all the members of ACEDB that our organization has obtained government registration. Together, we have the potential to drive transformative advancements in the field of endocrinology and diabetes care. May your contributions here pave the way for a brighter, healthier future for all those affected by endocrine and diabetes disorders.
